China Pushes Global Tech Collaboration for Innovation-Driven Growth

China has reaffirmed its commitment to international scientific cooperation as a catalyst for global development, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning highlighting recent breakthroughs in robotics and artificial intelligence during a Tuesday press briefing.

The remarks followed the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, which drew participation from 15 countries. Mao described the event as evidence of technology's rapid transition 'from laboratories to daily life,' emphasizing China's role in fostering cross-border innovation.

"Hosting events like the World Artificial Intelligence Conference and World Robot Conference demonstrates our dedication to shared technological progress," Mao stated. She noted these platforms enable dialogue on emerging industries while showcasing practical applications of AI and automation.

Analysts observe China's expanding influence in next-generation technologies, with the robotics competition serving as both a technical showcase and diplomatic bridge. Teams from Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East participated in challenges simulating real-world scenarios from healthcare to disaster response.

The spokesperson stressed that open collaboration remains essential for addressing global challenges: "No single nation can monopolize technological advancement. Our door remains open to joint research, talent exchange, and ethical framework development."

This push aligns with China's broader strategy to integrate technological innovation with international development goals, particularly in green energy and smart infrastructure sectors.
