China Successfully Launches Shiyan-28B 02 Test Satellite

China advanced its space exploration capabilities with the successful launch of the Shiyan-28B 02 satellite on Sunday. The spacecraft blasted off at 4:55 p.m. local time from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan province, carried by a Long March-4C rocket, and entered its predetermined orbit shortly after.

Mission Objectives and Milestones

Designed for space environment exploration and technical verification, the satellite will contribute to China’s growing expertise in orbital research. This mission marked the 589th flight of the Long March rocket series, underscoring China’s expanding role in global space technology development.
