A Stand for Multilateralism

The declaration, titled Strengthening Global South Cooperation for More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance, criticized the proliferation of trade restrictions and protectionist measures disguised as environmental policies. Leaders warned that such actions risk destabilizing supply chains and weakening global economic growth prospects.

Expanding Influence Through Reform

The group pledged to prioritize consensus-based decision-making and enhance cooperation across three pillars: political-security coordination, economic-financial integration, and cultural connectivity.

Global South Solidarity

The document highlighted plans to strengthen partnerships with emerging economies, framing deeper collaboration as essential for advancing equitable multilateralism. BRICS also outlined unified positions on AI governance, climate action, and global health – issues critical to developing nations.
