Su Super League Draws Record 60,396 Fans in Nanjing-Suzhou Clash

Jiangsu's grassroots football scene reached new heights as 60,396 fans packed Nanjing Olympic Sports Center on Saturday, setting an attendance record for the burgeoning Su Super League. The highly anticipated match between fourth-placed Nanjing and sixth-placed Suzhou ended in the league's first goalless draw since its May launch, though the defensive stalemate did little to dampen spectator enthusiasm.

The provincial league continues to surprise analysts, with attendance growing 38% in just six days – surpassing its previous 43,617 record set during Suzhou-Yangzhou match on June 15. Both teams maintained their undefeated status in the 12-team competition, with Nanjing (10 points) retaining fourth place and Suzhou (6 points) staying sixth.

"This energy reminds me of early Premier League days," said sports marketing expert Li Wei, noting the league's rapid growth since its May debut. The competition's next matches see Nanjing visiting Yangzhou on June 25, while Suzhou hosts Zhenjiang on June 26.
