Local authorities have advised residents of Akusekijima Island to prepare for evacuation, with 13 already relocating to Kagoshima Port.

Adding to the seismic threats, Typhoon Mun is forecast to move northward off Japan’s eastern coast, while extreme temperatures are expected to persist nationwide until September. The embassy emphasized the need for vigilance, urging citizens to monitor real-time weather alerts and follow evacuation protocols.
