2025 Summer Davos to Spotlight Innovation in Tianjin, China

The World Economic Forum's 2025 Summer Davos Forum, officially the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, will convene in Tianjin from June 24–26 under the theme "Entrepreneurship in the New Era." The event aims to foster dialogue on reigniting global growth through innovation, with over 1,700 participants from 90+ countries and regions expected to attend.

Key discussions will focus on five pillars: decoding the global economy, China's economic outlook, industry disruptions, sustainable investments, and advancements in energy and materials. Chen Shuai of China's National Development and Reform Commission emphasized the forum as a platform to showcase the country's commitment to high-level openness and shared development opportunities.

Tianjin Vice-Mayor Li Wenhai highlighted the city's role as a hub for technological progress, while WEF Managing Director Gim Huay Neo noted Asia's outsized contribution to global growth, with China driving half of the region's 60% share. Over 40 livestreamed sessions, including the release of the 2025 Energy Transition Index, will offer insights into emerging markets and technologies.

Since its 2007 launch, Summer Davos has become a cornerstone for connecting global leaders and fast-growing enterprises. This year's edition underscores China's evolving role in shaping inclusive, tech-driven economic strategies.
