China’s Sun Yujie Clinches Gold at ISSF World Cup in Munich

Chinese shooter Sun Yujie demonstrated remarkable resilience to claim the women's 25-meter pistol gold medal at the ISSF World Cup in Munich on Wednesday, securing her third title in this year's series. The 20-year-old athlete, who narrowly qualified for the finals in eighth place, staged a dramatic comeback to score 38 points in the decisive round.

Sun's victory follows earlier wins at World Cup events in Buenos Aires and Lima this April, solidifying her status as a rising star in competitive shooting. South Korea's Oh Ye-jin took silver with 36 points, while teammate Yang Ji-in earned bronze with 32 points. China's Yao Qianxun, who led the qualification round, finished fifth in the finals.

The competition sets the stage for the next ISSF World Cup rifle and pistol event in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, scheduled for September 7-15. This marks the first time since 2019 that China will host a World Cup shooting event, offering new opportunities for athletes and fans alike.
