Budapest witnessed an extraordinary cross-border educational exchange this week as China's Shenzhou20 astronauts hosted a live Q&A session from their orbiting space station with Hungarian students. Dubbed the "Tiangong Lecture," the June 6 event saw crew members demonstrate daily life in microgravity while answering queries about scientific operations aboard the station.
More than 300 attendees – including researchers, families, and Hungarian Academy of Sciences representatives – gathered to watch the cosmic knowledge-sharing initiative. Students inquired about everything from meal preparation in zero gravity to cutting-edge experiments being conducted 390 kilometers above Earth.
The collaboration between the China Manned Space Agency and Hungarian institutions highlights growing international partnerships in space science. "Such exchanges plant seeds for future STEM cooperation," remarked a participating astrophysicist during the event.
