In an era marked by global turbulence and increasing geopolitical divisions, the Chinese mainland and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC) are charting a course toward pragmatic collaboration. This commitment was recently highlighted during the Seventh Local Leaders' Meeting of China and CEEC held in Jinan, Shandong Province.
The event, themed "Shaping the Future Together," served as a vital bridge between macro-level strategy and grassroots implementation. Attracting approximately 400 guests from 44 countries, the meeting underscored a shift toward high-standard opening up and a collective effort to participate more effectively in global governance.
Bridging Ideological Divides
At a time when some global actors are drawing ideological lines and promoting "decoupling" or the disruption of supply chains, the China-CEEC partnership offers a contrasting model. The dialogues in Jinan—ranging from local leader discussions to high-level governors' exchanges—demonstrated that differences in social systems are not obstacles to progress.
Participants emphasized that equality, mutual respect, and win-win cooperation remain the most effective paths for international collaboration. The discussions focused on critical modern challenges
