Hainan Expo 2026 Showcases Global Trade and Panda Ambassadors

The sixth China International Consumer Products Expo, currently underway in Haikou until April 18, marks a milestone for Hainan Free Trade Port's new special customs operations. This year's event highlights China's commitment to global economic integration, featuring consumer goods from 65 countries and regions.

While business leaders discuss cross-border trade opportunities, Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park offers cultural respite with resident panda brothers Gong Gong and Shun Shun. The charismatic duo, celebrating their seventh year in Haikou, has become a living symbol of China's ecological conservation efforts.

"This expo bridges commercial innovation with cultural exchange," noted a senior Hainan official during the opening ceremony. The concurrent activation of island-wide customs streamlining allows faster clearance for international exhibitors, particularly benefiting ASEAN members and ROK businesses.

With over 3,800 brands participating, the event serves both as a trade platform and tourism catalyst. Visitors can explore Hainan's dual identity as a tropical paradise and emerging global business hub, where beachfront boardrooms coexist with protected rainforest habitats.
