China Urges Global Community to Stop Supporting Taiwan Independence Forces

In a recent statement, China has called upon relevant parties to strictly honor the one-China principle and cease providing platforms for "Taiwan independence" separatist forces. This diplomatic warning comes as the Chinese government continues to emphasize the importance of stability and adherence to established international understandings regarding cross-strait ties.

The remarks were delivered by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun during a regular press briefing. The statement was issued following a video address by Taiwan leader Lai Ching-te at the Copenhagen Democracy Summit.

Spokesperson Guo expressed strong opposition to the event, characterizing the Copenhagen Democracy Summit as being filled with "ideological biases." He further asserted that by repeatedly inviting "Taiwan independence" separatist forces to make irresponsible remarks, the summit has committed a severe violation of the one-China principle.

This development underscores the ongoing complexities of the political landscape in Asia, highlighting the Chinese mainland's firm stance against any actions that could be perceived as supporting separatist movements within the region.
