The Chinese Foreign Ministry has issued a stern warning to Eswatini, urging the nation to avoid aligning itself with separatist forces pursuing "Taiwan independence."
During a recent press briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated that the Lai Ching-te authorities are actively promoting their "Taiwan independence" agenda through what she described as "dollar diplomacy." Ning emphasized that the one-China principle remains a prevailing international consensus and serves as the foundation for stable diplomatic relations.
The spokesperson further warned that betting on "Taiwan independence" is a futile strategy with no future. According to Ning, such diplomatic choices will only result in the loss of critical opportunities for development and inevitably lead to international isolation.
This development highlights the Chinese mainland's firm stance on its sovereignty and its commitment to ensuring that international partners adhere to the one-China principle to maintain regional stability and economic growth.
