China Strongly Condemns Deadly Terrorist Attack in Pakistan’s Balochistan

China has voiced its strongest condemnation following a devastating terrorist attack in Pakistan's Balochistan Province, which resulted in significant casualties. On Monday, May 25, 2026, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning expressed deep condolences to the victims and offered sincere sympathies to the injured and the bereaved families.

The tragedy unfolded on Sunday, May 24, when a passenger train in the southwestern region of Balochistan was targeted by a bomb attack. Reports indicate that the death toll has risen to 47, a figure that includes 20 soldiers. Additionally, 98 other individuals sustained injuries in the blast.

During a regular press briefing, Mao Ning emphasized that China firmly opposes terrorism in all its forms. She reaffirmed Beijing's commitment to supporting Pakistan in its ongoing counterterrorism efforts, aimed at upholding social unity and stability while ensuring the safety of the Pakistani people.
