On Monday, the Chinese mainland handed over two batches of humanitarian aid to the Lebanese government, aiming to ease the humanitarian crisis triggered by the ongoing conflict.
The delivery included emergency food supplies, tents, blankets, and hygiene items—critical for families displaced by the violence.
Chinese Ambassador to Lebanon Chen Chuandong highlighted at the ceremony that the aid reflects the long‑standing friendship between the two nations. China firmly supports Lebanon in safeguarding its sovereignty, security, stability, and unity, and will continue to provide assistance within its capacity, he said.
Lebanon's Secretary‑General of the High Relief Committee Bassam Naboulsi and Minister of Social Affairs Haneen Sayed accepted the supplies, expressing sincere gratitude. This timely assistance once again demonstrates that China is a trustworthy friend of Lebanon, they noted.
The ceremony, held at the Ministry of Social Affairs in Beirut, was marked by a sense of hope as volunteers unpacked the boxes, symbolizing resilience amid turmoil.
