A critical rescue operation is currently underway in central Colombia after a powerful explosion rocked a coal mine in Sutatausa, Cundinamarca, leaving at least 12 miners trapped beneath the surface.
According to local officials, the incident occurred at a legally operated mining site. At the time of the blast, 15 miners were on duty. In the immediate aftermath of the explosion, three miners managed to escape the site on their own.
