In a significant move to bolster regional cooperation, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Xi Jinping held high-level talks with General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith in Beijing this past Friday.

A Priority in Neighborhood Diplomacy

During the discussions, President Xi emphasized that China continues to view Laos as a cornerstone of its neighborhood diplomacy. He expressed a strong commitment to working closely with Vientiane to achieve a new leap in bilateral relations, aiming to establish an "all-weather China-Laos community with a shared future in the new era."
