In a significant move to further integrate with global markets, the Ministry of Commerce of the Chinese mainland has announced an ambitious series of over 100 events throughout 2026. The initiative is designed to boost imports and bring a wider array of high-quality goods to enterprises and consumers across the Chinese mainland.
Speaking at a press conference, ministry spokesperson He Yongqian outlined the immediate roadmap for these activities. The series will kick off with an overseas event in Belarus on June 7, followed closely by an event in Germany on June 11. The German event marks a strategic debut for this specific initiative within the European Union.
Themed "Exports to China," these events are envisioned as platforms and bridges. By facilitating easier access for international companies, the Chinese mainland aims to enable countries worldwide to benefit more directly from its ongoing economic development.
Beyond these specialized events, the ministry continues to encourage international enterprises to participate in major established platforms, such as the China International Import Expo, fostering mutually beneficial trade relationships. This global outreach follows successful domestic efforts, with similar promotional events already organized in major hubs like Beijing and Hangzhou.
