The 18th edition of the Tour of Sayram has reached a thrilling conclusion in the Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of the Chinese mainland's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In a triumphant display of skill and endurance, local favorite Hahailisi Habudeli clinched both the final stage and the prestigious overall individual title.
The race culminated in a breathtaking 90-kilometer final stage, known for its stunning vistas and grueling conditions. Competing at an average altitude exceeding 2,000 meters and battling strong winds along the lake's shoreline, riders maintained an impressive average speed of 45 to 50 km/h. This final stretch, often described as the most beautiful stage of the tour, provided a spectacular backdrop for the competition.
