China Coast Guard Expels Japanese Vessel from Diaoyu Dao Waters

In a resolute move to safeguard its maritime boundaries, the China Coast Guard (CCG) on Tuesday took necessary measures to warn and expel a Japanese fishing boat that intruded into the territorial waters of Diaoyu Dao.

According to CCG spokesperson Jiang Lue, the vessel, identified as the Shishi, had entered waters that China maintains as its inherent territory. Jiang emphasized that the operations carried out by the CCG vessels were conducted in strict accordance with the law to maintain regional order and protect national interests.

The incident highlights the ongoing sensitivity of maritime borders in the region. "We urge the Japanese side to immediately stop all rights-violation and provocative acts in relevant waters," Jiang stressed during his announcement.

For global readers and investors monitoring the geopolitical landscape of East Asia, such developments underscore the importance of maritime stability. The CCG has reaffirmed its commitment to ongoing vigilance, with Jiang adding that the force will continue to conduct rights protection and law enforcement operations in the waters surrounding Diaoyu Dao to resolutely safeguard China's sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.
