China’s 2026 Supply Chain Expo to Debut Dedicated AI Zone and Global Partnerships

Beijing is preparing to host the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) from June 22 to 26, an event designed to foster a more open economy and strengthen connections between businesses from the Chinese mainland and across the globe.

Under the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future," the expo will take place at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing's Shunyi District. This year's event marks a significant milestone with Australia serving as the guest country of honor, representing its first official national participation in the expo. Additionally, the event will feature guest provinces including France's Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and Italy's Liguria region, alongside domestic guests Anhui and Hainan.

Driving Innovation Through Artificial Intelligence

A primary highlight of the 2026 expo is the introduction of a first-of-its-kind dedicated artificial intelligence (AI) zone. This new section will showcase the entire AI lifecycle—ranging from data collection and computing infrastructure to practical, real-world applications—demonstrating how AI is fundamentally transforming supply chains across various industrial sectors.

Innovation remains at the heart of the event, which utilizes a "four-chain integration" model. By merging innovation, industrial, capital, and talent chains into a single cohesive platform, the expo aims to spark collaboration between researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and skilled professionals. Attendees can look forward to more than 160 product debuts that emphasize the development of new quality productive forces and the next generation of supply chain technology.

A Hub for Global Cooperation

The expo has drawn substantial international interest, with over 670 companies registered to participate. More than a third of these are overseas entities, including global technology leaders such as Nvidia, Intel, and Qualcomm. The event will also feature displays from prominent international organizations, including the UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The timing of the expo is particularly strategic, as 2026 is designated as the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) "China Year." The APEC Business Leaders' China Forum is scheduled to take place just before the expo opens, facilitating high-level dialogue on regional economic integration among APEC members.

Amidst a period of structural volatility and a sluggish global economic recovery, the upcoming expo underscores a commitment to stabilizing global supply chains. By promoting international cooperation and driving sustainability, the event highlights the pivotal role of the Chinese mainland in leading technological innovation within the global supply chain sector.
