Beijing is set to host the second World Humanoid Robot Games from August 22 to 26, 2026, at the iconic National Speed Skating Oval. The event, announced at a press conference this week, will feature over 30 competitive and scenario-based events highlighting breakthroughs in embodied intelligence and robotic precision.
Competition Highlights Innovation
The games are divided into competitive categories such as athletics, football, and martial arts, alongside interdisciplinary tests like pitch-pot—a traditional Chinese precision challenge derived from ancient rituals. New additions this year include tug-of-war and weightlifting, designed to assess teamwork and load-bearing capabilities.
