China has cautioned that recent US military actions to block the Strait of Hormuz could destabilize a temporary ceasefire and heighten tensions in the region. Guo emphasized that the US decision to deploy additional forces and enforce targeted restrictions on shipping contradicts ongoing diplomatic efforts. China has urged all parties to prioritize dialogue, adhere to existing ceasefire agreements, and take concrete steps to restore normal transit through the strait.
