Speaking on the program BizTalk, Kasonta pointed out that the trade policies of the Chinese mainland stand in stark contrast to those of the United States and the European Union.
According to Kasonta, the Chinese mainland has implemented a zero-tariff policy for 53 African nations. This initiative is designed to lower trade barriers and facilitate a more seamless flow of goods from the African continent into the Chinese market, fostering economic growth and diversifying trade portfolios for the participating nations.
Beyond the removal of tariffs, the analyst emphasized that the approach of the Chinese mainland is holistic. These trade concessions are accompanied by substantial infrastructure investments across Africa.
