World’s First Mass-Producible Flying Car Debuts at 2026 China Expo

The 2026 China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) unveiled a transportation revolution this week with the operational debut of the Land Aircraft Carrier – the world's first mass-producible split-type flying car. CGTN's Olivia Zhang took the landmark vehicle for a test flight, demonstrating its unique ability to separate into a ground module and airborne drone capable of vertical takeoff.

Developed by Chinese engineers over three years, this hybrid electric vehicle represents a $2.3 billion investment in next-gen mobility solutions. Business analysts note its potential to transform urban logistics and emergency response systems across Asia, with pre-orders already reported from logistics firms in Singapore and medical suppliers in Indonesia.

This year's expo has drawn over 5,000 brands from 71 countries and regions, cementing its position as Asia's premier innovation showcase. The flying car's debut aligns with China's broader push in green transportation technologies, following last month's announcement of new drone corridor regulations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
