Global Scholars Test Knowledge at First World Conference of Classics in Beijing

More than 480 experts and scholars from over 30 countries and regions gathered in Beijing from November 6 to 8 for the first World Conference of Classics. The event served as a global platform for intellectual exchange on the enduring significance of classical studies.

Amidst the serious discussions and scholarly presentations, participants also engaged in a lighthearted identification game organized by CGTN, titled “Guess the Masters of Classics.” The game challenged the experts to recognize and name influential figures in classical literature and philosophy.

The scholars welcomed the opportunity to test their knowledge in a fun setting. The game not only sparked lively conversations but also highlighted the diverse perspectives each participant brought to the conference.

As the participants took part in the challenge, it became evident that classics hold a universal appeal transcending cultural and national boundaries. The camaraderie fostered through this interactive activity underscored the conference’s aim to promote global collaboration in the study of classical works.
