China’s Meteorological Authority has renewed yellow alerts for both rainstorms and high temperatures, signaling extreme weather conditions across the nation.
From 2 p.m. Sunday to 2 p.m. Monday, torrential rains are expected to sweep parts of Shaanxi, Sichuan, Hubei, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Inner Mongolia, according to the National Meteorological Center.
These regions may experience short-term heavy rainfall with hourly precipitation exceeding 80 millimeters, accompanied by thunderstorms and gales.
The meteorological center has advised local governments to undertake appropriate preparations and check the drainage systems in cities, farmlands, and fishponds to mitigate potential flooding and damage.
Residents in the affected areas are encouraged to stay informed about the latest weather updates and exercise caution when venturing outdoors.
