Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa met with Julien Lerisson, the head of the ICRC delegation in Israel and the Palestinian territories. According to a statement from Mustafa's office, the discussions focused on addressing reports of psychological and physical abuse, as well as the critical lack of adequate medical care and malnutrition among detainees.
Beyond the prison conditions, Prime Minister Mustafa called on the ICRC to scale up its humanitarian operations within the Gaza Strip. His requests included the establishment of more field hospitals, streamlined entry for essential medical supplies, and increased support for the evacuation of wounded Palestinians to receive treatment abroad.
