In a dramatic rescue operation today in the northern Philippines, emergency teams have successfully saved 26 individuals following the collapse of a nine-story building under construction in Angeles City, Pampanga Province.
The disaster struck early Sunday morning, causing significant damage to the site. According to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office of Angeles City, 24 people were pulled directly from the wreckage of the collapsed structure. In addition, two other individuals were rescued from a nearby apartment hotel that was impacted by the incident.
