At Least 10 Injured in Mass Shooting at Arcadia Lake Campground, Oklahoma

At a popular campground overlooking Arcadia Lake, a routine weekend of camping, picnicking and water sports took a tragic turn when a mass shooting erupted near the shoreline late Sunday.

According to officials, multiple shots were fired at a group of young people gathered by the lake, sending panic through the area before emergency responders arrived. At least ten individuals were rushed to nearby hospitals in the Oklahoma City metro, with authorities warning that the number of victims could rise as more information comes in.

"I can confirm that we have transported 10 to area metro hospitals in various conditions," said Edmond city police spokesperson Emily Ward, in a statement to local media. She added, "there will be more victim numbers coming in."

Arcadia Lake, located about 21 kilometers north of Oklahoma City in the suburb of Edmond, is a well‑known recreation spot for families, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts.
