From June 9 to 13, the 2026 Chongqing International Animation Film Week will welcome animation professionals, filmmakers, and enthusiasts from every corner of the globe for a celebration of creativity and innovation.

This year's event has seen an impressive surge in international interest, with a total of 501 animated works submitted for the main competition. The entries hail from a diverse array of countries, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Russia, Spain, Australia, and Brazil, highlighting the universal appeal of the medium and the event's growing prestige.

After a rigorous selection process, 45 titles have been shortlisted to compete for top honors. Adding to the significance of the competition, the jury is led by Rob Minkoff, the acclaimed co-director of Disney's legendary film The Lion King. Minkoff's expertise brings a world-class perspective to the evaluation of this year's creative entries.
