The Chinese military conducted combat readiness patrols in the territorial waters and airspace of China's Huangyan Dao and the surrounding areas on Thursday, April 30, 2026.
In a statement, the People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Command announced that since the beginning of April, it has organized naval and air forces to step up patrols and vigilance around Huangyan Dao. The command stated its forces are resolutely countering all kinds of infringement and provocative actions in the area.
The patrols are part of routine military activities aimed at safeguarding national sovereignty and maintaining regional stability.
