Digital China Summit Unveils AI Future

Fuzhou Showcases Digital Innovation on Global Stage

The 9th Digital China Summit is set to open on Wednesday, April 29, in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, on the Chinese mainland. With all preparations completed, this year's event promises to be the most ambitious yet, serving as a major platform for Asia's burgeoning digital economy.

Spanning an on-site experience area of 56,000 square meters, the summit has placed a stronger emphasis on showcasing cutting-edge technological innovations. A key highlight for 2026 is a dedicated section for AI-driven innovation, reflecting the region's strategic push into next-generation technologies.

"More than 65% of the technologies, products, and applications on display will be making their debut," said organizers, pointing to the event's role as a launchpad for the digital sector. Over 100 organizations are participating independently across themed zones, including digital intelligence for public benefit, digital infrastructure, and the emerging low-altitude economy.

China's three major telecom operators—China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom—will unveil their latest digital applications aimed at both public services and industrial transformation. Leading companies are also set to present next-generation domestically produced computing power and data infrastructure solutions, highlighting strides in technological self-reliance.

To extend the summit's reach beyond the venue, Fuzhou has established 65 digital experience points across the city. Xue Bo, head of the summit's preparation work group, also announced a series of new application scenarios for digital cultural tourism, blending technology with local heritage.

In a move to welcome visitors and enhance accessibility, the city will offer free subway and bus services during the summit and the upcoming May Day holiday period, underscoring Fuzhou's commitment to hosting a world-class, inclusive event.

The Digital China Summit continues to solidify its position as a critical node in Asia's tech landscape, attracting global attention to the region's digital transformation and offering a window into the future of technology-driven growth.
