Beijing Sport University strengthened its role as a hub for sports innovation yesterday as its School of Journalism and Communication convened the fourth annual Media and Sports Forum. The 2026 edition saw the unveiling of two landmark reports analyzing emerging trends in sports media and athlete-brand partnerships across Asia.
Key Reports Unveiled
The first study, titled 'Digital Transformation in Asian Sports Broadcasting,' tracks rapid adoption of augmented reality features and AI-driven personalization in regional coverage. The second report, 'Next-Gen Sports Diplomacy,' examines how Southeast Asian nations are leveraging athletic exchanges to strengthen regional ties.
Industry Implications
Sports Scene correspondent Shen Xiang noted the forum highlighted growing collaboration between Chinese tech firms and ASEAN sports networks. 'These findings come at a pivotal moment as Asia prepares for three major multi-sport events in 2027,' Shen observed during his coverage.
Over 300 delegates attended the hybrid event, including representatives from Olympic committees, broadcast networks, and academic institutions across 18 Asian countries and regions.
