Young artists from around the world are being invited to share their creative visions of China in a global children’s art initiative titled “China Through My Eyes.” This unique opportunity encourages children aged 4 to 14 to depict their perspectives of China, celebrating its culture, landscapes, history, and more through their artistic talents.
The initiative welcomes submissions in any medium, including drawing, painting, or collage, provided the artwork is original and created solely by the participant without the use of AI tools or software assistance. While there is a general size guideline of A3 format (297 x 420 mm or 11.7 x 16.5 inches), exceptions can be made to accommodate artistic expression.
A panel of judges will review all submissions, with selected artworks showcased in an online gallery and potential inclusion in future physical exhibitions. Rewards include electronic recharge cards for shortlisted entries and special prizes for grand prize winners and top selections. Additionally, outstanding artworks may be transformed into lanterns by skilled artisans for display at the prestigious Zigong International Lantern Festival in Sichuan Province.
The initiative not only offers young artists a platform to express their creativity but also fosters cultural exchange and understanding by sharing diverse interpretations of China from a global perspective. The submission deadline is September 29, 2024, with results announced by the end of October 2024.
For more information on submission guidelines and participation, interested parties are encouraged to prepare their artworks and stay tuned for further announcements regarding submission details.
