Middle East Tensions Surge as Iran-Israel Strikes Intensify

Escalating military strikes between Iran and Israel have heightened regional tensions, with both sides launching targeted attacks on strategic facilities this week. The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) confirmed on Wednesday that it fired precision-guided missiles at over 70 sites in Israel-controlled areas, including Haifa, Dimona, and regions near Tel Aviv, as part of its ongoing Operation True Promise 4.

According to Iran's state-run Press TV, the IRGC described the strikes as a "calculated response to ongoing aggression," targeting military and industrial infrastructure. Meanwhile, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported retaliatory air strikes on Tuesday against Iran's sole submarine development facility in Isfahan and weapons production sites in Tehran, claiming these locations produced advanced aerial and naval systems.

The exchange has drawn global concern, with analysts warning of potential disruptions to oil markets and regional stability. Business leaders are closely monitoring shipping routes in the Strait of Hormuz, while travelers to the region face renewed advisories. Academics emphasize the need for diplomatic de-escalation amid fears of broader conflict.
