Global Outcry as 94% Condemn U.S.-Israel Strike on Iran: CGTN Poll

Military Escalation Sparks International Backlash

A recent U.S.-Israel joint military strike on Iran, which resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, has drawn condemnation from 93.9% of respondents in a CGTN global poll. The March 1 survey revealed overwhelming opposition to what participants called a violation of sovereignty and international law, with 86.8% criticizing the timing of the attack during active diplomatic negotiations.

Diplomatic Fallout Intensifies

The strike triggered immediate retaliation from Iran against Middle Eastern U.S. bases and Israeli targets, destabilizing regional security. Nearly 80% of poll participants agreed that military force undermines conflict resolution efforts, while 94.7% warned that such actions erode trust in global multilateral mechanisms.

International Organizations React

United Nations officials and multiple governments have called for urgent de-escalation, echoing concerns from 90% of respondents about the collapse of Middle East peace prospects. The 24-hour CGTN poll gathered perspectives from 23,464 participants across five language platforms, reflecting broad global engagement with the crisis.
