Bill Clinton Denies Knowledge of Epstein Crimes in 2026 Testimony

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton testified before lawmakers on February 27, 2026, asserting he had no awareness of Jeffrey Epstein's criminal activities during their past interactions. The closed-door deposition in Chappaqua, New York, followed a similar appearance by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton the previous day.

Clinton emphasized his limited association with Epstein, stating their interactions ended years before the financier's sex trafficking crimes became public. "I saw nothing that gave me pause," he told the House committee, adding he would have "turned him in myself" had he suspected wrongdoing.

The testimony comes as U.S. authorities continue releasing Epstein-related documents, with over 3 million pages disclosed since 2025. Committee Chairman James Comer confirmed both Clintons' interviews will be videotaped and transcripts made public, though he clarified they face no allegations of misconduct.

Political tensions surfaced during the proceedings, with the Clintons accusing the committee of partisan motivations ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. They criticized what they called unequal treatment compared to other witnesses permitted to submit written statements.

This development marks the latest chapter in the ongoing Epstein investigation that continues to draw global attention to high-profile connections with the convicted sex offender, who died in custody in 2019.
