Chinese Robots Debut at UN’s Spring Festival Celebration in New York

Chinese robots made their first appearance at UN headquarters in New York this week during a Spring Festival celebration hosted by the Chinese Mission to the United Nations on February 9. The event, themed "Galloping Forward with the United Nations," attracted over 600 diplomats and officials from 120 countries, blending cultural tradition with technological innovation.

Ambassador Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the UN, emphasized the symbolic connection between the event's horse theme and global cooperation: "Just as horses embody courage and unity, China remains committed to multilateralism and addressing shared challenges through UN platforms."

UN Secretary-General António Guterres acknowledged China's role in strengthening international collaboration, stating: "This celebration reminds us that cultural bridges can advance our common goals of peace and sustainable development."

The humanoid robots, developed by Chinese tech firms, demonstrated traditional calligraphy and interacted with guests through multilingual capabilities – showcasing China's growing technological prowess on the global stage.
