Zelenskyy Visits Poland to Bolster Security, Energy Ties in 2025

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Polish leader Karol Nawrocki reaffirmed commitments to regional security and energy collaboration during a high-profile meeting in Warsaw this week. The visit marks Zelenskyy's first official engagement with Nawrocki since the Polish leader assumed office in August 2025.

At a joint press conference, Nawrocki emphasized Poland's continued support for Ukraine since 2022 while acknowledging growing public concerns about the scope of assistance. "Promoting lasting peace remains our shared priority," he stated, adding that constructive dialogue could help address evolving bilateral dynamics.

The leaders unveiled plans to develop liquefied natural gas infrastructure aimed at positioning Poland as Central Europe's energy hub. Zelenskyy proposed joint defense technology initiatives, including drone systems and maritime security programs, extending an invitation for Polish businesses to participate in Ukraine's reconstruction efforts.

"Our partnership transcends immediate challenges," Zelenskyy remarked, highlighting upcoming technical exchanges and Nawrocki's planned visit to Ukrainian defense facilities. The discussions come as both nations navigate complex geopolitical shifts while maintaining coordinated positions on regional stability.
