Dembele Clinches FIFA Best Award After Stellar PSG Season

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele claimed the FIFA Best Men's Player award at a ceremony in Doha this week, solidifying his status as one of football's elite performers in 2025. The 28-year-old French international, who also won September's Ballon d'Or, edged out compatriot Kylian Mbappe and rising Spanish star Lamine Yamal for the honor.

Dembele's career-defining year saw him score 35 goals across all competitions while spearheading PSG's historic treble-winning campaign. His leadership proved crucial in the Parisians' maiden UEFA Champions League triumph, where they defeated three English Premier League clubs before routing Inter Milan 5-0 in May's final. The victory completed PSG's clean sweep of France's domestic trophies this season.

Since joining from Barcelona in 2023, Dembele has revitalized his career through consistent performances. "This recognition motivates me to keep pushing," he said during his acceptance speech, already eyeing 2026's FIFA World Cup as his next major objective.
