Six teenagers were injured in a shooting outside a Brooklyn event space during the early hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025, according to New York City police. The victims, aged 15 to 17, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and remain in stable condition at local hospitals.
The violence erupted around 1:00 a.m. following a birthday celebration in Cypress Hills. Surveillance footage revealed two unidentified men approaching the venue before firing multiple rounds into the crowd, according to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
"Both individuals displayed firearms and discharged multiple rounds toward a crowd gathered outside the venue," Tisch stated during a press conference. The suspects fled on foot and remain at large.
While the investigation continues, authorities have indicated the shooting may be gang-related. The incident has reignited discussions about youth safety in urban communities as police urge witnesses to come forward.
