Hong Kong is set to showcase its dynamic fusion of culture, sports, and tourism as it co-hosts the 15th National Games alongside Guangdong and Macao – the first-ever joint hosting by the Greater Bay Area. The event marks a strategic effort to strengthen regional collaboration while positioning Hong Kong as a global hub for major international events.
Infrastructure Meets Ambition
The newly opened Kai Tak Sports Park, Hong Kong's largest sports infrastructure project to date, will serve as a centerpiece. Rosanna Law, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, emphasized its significance: "This facility embodies our spirit of perseverance. It connects local energy with global attention through world-class competitions."
Beyond the Arena
Authorities aim to leverage the games to boost tourism, with curated cultural experiences complementing athletic events.
