Senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official Cai Qi attended a reception at the Embassy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Beijing on Thursday, marking the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK). The event underscored the deepening diplomatic and ideological alignment between the two nations.
Cai, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, conveyed congratulations from General Secretary Xi Jinping and the CPC Central Committee. He praised the WPK's "glorious revolutionary tradition" and acknowledged the "new vitality" in the DPRK's socialist development under leader Kim Jong Un.
Shared Vision for Regional Stability
Emphasizing China's support for the DPRK's self-determined development path, Cai reaffirmed commitments to implement bilateral agreements and expand cooperation. "Strengthening strategic communication and practical collaboration will write a new chapter for China-DPRK relations," he stated, highlighting aspirations for regional peace and prosperity.
DPRK Ambassador Ri Ryong Nam echoed the sentiment, pledging to "steadfastly consolidate" traditional friendship and elevate bilateral ties. The exchange signals continued alignment on geopolitical priorities amid evolving global dynamics.
