Trump Urges Tehran Evacuation as Iran-Israel Tensions Escalate

As clashes between Iran and Israel entered a fifth consecutive day on Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump called for residents of Tehran to evacuate immediately, citing stalled negotiations over Iran's nuclear program. The escalating conflict has drawn global attention, with world leaders scrambling to mediate a ceasefire.

Trump announced his early departure from the G7 summit in Canada on Monday, emphasizing the urgency of the Middle East crisis. In a post on his Truth Social platform, he stated: "Iran should have signed the 'deal' I told them to sign… IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!"

French President Emmanuel Macron characterized Trump's decision to prioritize the conflict as "positive," noting the U.S.-proposed ceasefire could pave the way for broader diplomatic talks. "There is an offer that has been made to initiate discussions," Macron told reporters. "Now we need to see what the stakeholders will do."

The White House confirmed Trump plans to convene the National Security Council amid rising fears of prolonged regional instability. Analysts suggest the conflict could disrupt energy markets and trade routes, with implications for global investors monitoring Asian economies dependent on Middle Eastern oil.
