Delta Flight Upside Down on Landing at Toronto Pearson, 17 Injured

A Delta Air Lines flight made an unexpected turn when it flipped upside down upon landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday. The incident occurred amid windy conditions following a recent snowstorm, resulting in 17 injuries among the 80 people on board, according to Deborah Flint, the airport president.

Among the injured, three individuals, including a child, sustained critical injuries. Delta Air Lines confirmed that a CRJ900 aircraft operated by its Endeavor Air subsidiary was involved in the single-aircraft accident. Out of the 80 people on board, 76 were passengers and four were crew members.

\"Initial reports indicate there are no fatalities and 18 customers with injuries have been transported to area hospitals,\" Delta stated in a recent update on X.

The CRJ900 model, manufactured by Canada's Bombardier, has a seating capacity of up to 90 passengers. The flight had originated from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. As of now, the cause of the incident remains undetermined.
