The European Union has announced its intention to respond to any tariffs imposed by the United States, heightening concerns of an impending trade war. In response, Washington has pledged to implement a 25% duty on all aluminum and steel imports and to align its tariffs with those currently in place by other nations.
As the U.S. and EU share the largest bilateral trade relationship globally, officials from both sides have cautioned that these measures could lead to significant economic repercussions on both sides of the Atlantic.
