Families of five Thai farm workers who were held hostage in Gaza for over a year celebrated their reunion as the hostages arrived safely in Bangkok on Sunday.
The hostages, Watchara Sriaoun, Pongsak Tanna, Sathian Suwannakham, Surasak Lamnau, and Bannawat Saethao, walked into the arrivals hall at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 7:30 a.m. local time (0030 GMT) after being freed on January 30. Their release was part of a ceasefire deal aimed at ending the ongoing Gaza conflict.
Upon their arrival, the hostages were met by overjoyed relatives and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The emotional reunion saw families weeping with joy and embracing their loved ones, marking a hopeful end to a challenging period for both the individuals and their families.
