A tragic collision between a bus and a truck in southern Mexico has claimed the lives of 41 people, according to authorities in Tabasco state.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, involving a bus carrying 48 passengers. The bus collided with a truck, leading to the deaths of 38 passengers and two bus drivers. In addition, the truck driver also lost his life in the crash.
Images from Reuters show the bus completely engulfed in flames following the impact, with only the skeletal remains of its metal frame remaining. Recovery efforts are still ongoing as local authorities work to ascertain the full extent of the tragedy.
