Russia has regained control over the settlement of Novoivanovka in the Kursk region, according to a statement released by the Russian Defense Ministry on Thursday.
The strategic village, located near the border, had been under the control of Ukrainian forces since they advanced into the Kursk region on August 6. The incursion marked a significant escalation, with Ukrainian troops seizing a considerable portion of territory within the region.
Russian forces have been engaged in continuous operations to reclaim the area, facing stiff resistance over the past weeks. The Defense Ministry’s announcement signals a critical advancement in their efforts to restore control along the border regions.
