Israel’s Cabinet Discusses Truce Framework with Hezbollah in South Lebanon

Israel’s security cabinet is currently in discussions regarding the terms of a potential truce with Hezbollah in south Lebanon, amidst ongoing ground operations by Israeli forces in the region, Energy Minister Eli Cohen revealed on Wednesday.

“There are discussions,” Cohen told Israeli public radio. “I think it will still take time.”

The negotiations come as tensions escalate along Israel’s northern border, where Israeli troops have been engaged in combat operations against Hezbollah militants. The possibility of a truce aims to de-escalate the situation and prevent further conflict in the volatile area.

While details of the proposed truce framework remain undisclosed, the acknowledgment of such discussions indicates a significant development in the efforts to stabilize the region.
